What if the Night King seizes the Iron Throne and then overthrows the monarchy for a system of democratically elected representation with free and fair elections, open markets, and a strong social safety net?

Wasn’t Benjin’s team killed trying to do this way back in the opening chapters of the first book?  At the very least they were investigating reports of weird happenings north of the wall.

It seems unlikely that the books will ignore all rules of time and space the way the show did to get the dragons north of the wall in less than a day after receiving word from supersonic ravens.

The whole sister rivalry plotline was so obvious right from the start that all of the attempted misdirection came off as laughable. The only tension was “Are the writers willing to make Sansa carry around the world’s largest idiot ball and fall for Littlefinger’s 8th grade level scheme?”  They kept pretending like the

In some ways the new movies make a lot of sense. Gigantic bureaucracies don’t disintegrate immediately when the leader is killed/deposed. Usually the most opportunistic asshole remaining from the old regime grabs power and basically continues doing what they were doing before. All of that celebrating on the forest

Solo felt like some internet forum post making up all of the explanations for Han’s off-the-cuff lines in the other movies turned into its own movie.  Gotta include the Kessel run.  Gotta have him shoot first.  Gotta have high stakes gambling to explain the Lando’s line.  What’s the central plotline?  It’s basically

Where is he now? The guy was sitting on a goldmine and he seems to have squandered the opportunity with frivolous lawsuits and not doing anything with the site beyond running some banner ads.  Has anybody thought about sex.com in the past 20 years?

That was my first thought as well. Netflix taking the most direct and thumb-your-nose way of circumventing the Oscars restrictions. Your move, big movie studios.

There are dudes mass producing wildfire. At one point someone visits them and they ask “Are there dragons in the world again? This is going way faster than it used to.”

In the books the guys work in special rooms that have a trap door over them and a room filling amount of sand. In the event of a screwup the sand is

It’s a lot easier to program that way.  Make a nice grid and copy & paste dudes to fill it up.  If they’re moving like actual people you need to do collision detection which is way more complicated.  Otherwise dudes will be clipping into each other constantly and some nitpickers will notice.

Absolutely. Remember Tyrion in the first few seasons? And the books? A fountain of witty dialog.

It’s so sad to see him reduced to just standing around silent or droning out some bad advice in the last few seasons.

Some other reporting on the Internet says it was stop motion:

Does Dagger ever get the costume from the comics?

To be fair though, Jon’s death and rebirth wasn’t going to be completed in this season. The interesting part didn’t happen until the next season, although it was resolved in pretty much exactly the way most people expected. I’m pretty sure GRRM is planning to keep him alive in basically the same way too. Having him

The books end with Stannis being snowed in some distance outside Winterfell and everyone getting real hungry.  When I read the books I had a really dire impression of his situation, like he’s just turned his army into the Donner Party.  I was kind of surprised in the show when the snow just melted in like the next

Even this is a stretch. Literally all of the survivors from Hardhome can tell you in great detail about the white walkers, not to mention the ones that were running around the castle just a few weeks prior. For someone at the wall to still be a skeptic would take a great deal of hardheadedness. Sure the people in

Looks like stop motion.  It could be CG, but I would expect it to be smoother if it was CG.

Yeah, the Night King is definitely a load bearing boss.

Don’t you have that backwards? Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained are high up in that chart.

The Scalping sites will have plenty of tickets available if you miss out on buying the 200 or so that were actually available to the public.
