He didn’t even really try. He’s like “shit, they got me” and folded up like a Scooby Doo villain trapped in a net.

D&D explained in the post-ep bit that they were really trying their best to sell the “Sansa is going to kill Arya” plotline because that’s what the old show would have done. But the problem is that the new show would never do that and also it’s stupid so everybody saw through it and when they tried to sell it so hard

If Beric wasn’t killed last week he’s not going to die offscreen this week. I’d say that Tormund’s advice to run away probably saved their lives.

He can't die 2,000 miles away from Dany. Well, he could in the books but it's not going to happen in the show. The writers on the show love the characters too much.

I don't think all three dragons are impervious this season. Right now they're too OP and are devaluing Cersei as a villain. One of them needs to die for dramatic tension purposes. Another probably needs to die at the hands of the Night King to avoid the "How are we going to defeat the dead? Just bunch them up at

I'm suspecting Bran will be of no help. He seems to be fully in the "useless fortuneteller" category now, only telling people about things after it's too late to be useful. Or in ways that are too vague to be useful. He'll get one or two big revelations and that's it. The biggest probably being R+L==J.

Like Cha isn't their dump stat. I think Bran might be down to a 1 in Cha now. Sansa is doing a little better, but that's all her mother's influence.

On the other hand, I agree that Thoros is well past his sell by date and is prime material for a heroic death next episode. What is left for him to do in the story? He's been sitting on his thumbs for what, three seasons now? At this point his death is just housekeeping.

"Fake News" is very consistent, it's any story with which you disagree.

The title made it sound really nerdy, and the setting/synopsis certainly don't help in this regard. I think the prospect of nerdfights over arcane technical crap probably turned off some potential viewers. Shame too because I ended up liking this show a lot more than HBO's Silicon Valley.

Honestly I'm hoping that GRRM doesn't put this idiotic plan into the books.

I really wanted him to say "We still draw breath". We're still breathing sounded too modern to my ears. Granted, this series has mostly ditched the ye olde dialog but it would be nice for cool lines like that.

It's the scroll that Cersi made Sansa write in the first season about how awesome the Lannisters are and how everybody should come down to Kings Landing for tea and crumpets.

I really miss GRRM writing for Tyrion. D&D don't seem to know what to do with him, so he spends most of his scenes just standing there looking off in the distance. Davos is hogging all of the great zingers this season.

Presumably the teleporters aren't big enough to accommodate the dragons, so it's actually faster to beam everybody to the wall, have them do their stupid mission, then beam back with the proof.

If Arya doesn't buy it then she splits Littlefinger in two

I'm wondering if they packed that book in with the rest of the stuff when he skipped town. That could be a crucial bit of evidence to bring forward in the last season.

In the post-episode recap D&D said they were setting it up as Littlefinger trying to turn Sansa's suspicions about Arya up to drive a wedge between them. I'm hoping this spectacularly backfires when Sansa retorts that she knows her own sister, they grew up together, realizes what Littlefinger is up to, and cuts off

It can't be any worse than Disquis can it? Can it?
