I thought it was Ninjas with giant robots? At least that's what it looks like when I see a Ninjago box on the shelf. I didn't know there was a series to go with it.

Yep, it depends entirely on your state. If you have a Republican controlled state government you are probably fucked.
In the end, no Republicans jumped the fence, so they might as well have left the public option in there.
I want this almost as much as I want the new season already.
The problem with that scene it that it was stupid. Tom Cruise is pulled into the tunnel and then jumps off of the Helicopter as it explodes and the force of the explosion pushes him onto the train, where he doesn't have as much as a singed hair.
I can't totally disagree that the rest of the movie was forgettable because I have forgotten it; but that part where he is lowered down into the vault on wires is genius. If you ask anybody about the MI movies, that's guaranteed to be the first thing they think of.
I'm surprised they have not gotten Scott Kurtz onboard for this film. He's had a lot to say about the newspaper comics industry and it's not exactly hard to get him to speak about it.
How about Counselor Troi, Warrior Princess? I thought Mariana Sirtis did a fine job voicing the warrior deer lady.
That joke would have been a little too smart for a Tim & Eric thing.
I've long suspected that she carefully constructs her subjects to be "mad special", because smarter subjects might object to her position of absolute power or even rebel. Maybe she did make smarter candy people at one time and had to melt them all down when they threatened her absolute control over the kingdom.
As soon as someone mentioned Tim & Eric I knew that was the correct answer here. This is exactly what they would do. It's funny because it is anti-humor or something I think. Their whole deal is that funniness is directly related to stupidity, so the dumber you make something the funnier it is.
I thought the "secret notes" were just shit that even Frank said was too stupid/crazy to go in a book and threw aside.
Ultimately, the book Baron was a loathsome scheming statesman, while the movie version was a floating psychopath. A lot of nuance was lost in the translation.
I loved the way they made personal shields in the movie. I've never seen anybody make them that way since, Star Trek has ingrained the whole egg shaped shield into pretty much everything that has the concept.
That's why the Lynch version had so much voiceover. But people hate voiceover so the movie got panned for it.
Don't forget pre-Star Trek Patrick Stewart!
My problem with the SciFi version was that it felt too much like a stage play.
Netflix has the extended edition on their DVD mailing service. I watched it again and came away with a new impression. The first half of the movie is fantastic, but it all kind of comes apart after the surprise attack/assassinations. The pacing, shaky as it was, is blown to hell and most of time spent chatting up…
The worst part is that this is so completely unnecessary. We already have the best possible Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie (http://www.rogerebert.com/r….
At the very least he can make the fight scenes both overlong and completely incomprehensible.
