Because nobody is arguing whether the rule exists or not. They are arguing that the rule is dumb or doesn’t make sense or (has been pointed out to me) is rather sexist since it is applied unequally to men and women and their idea of what is or isn’t appropriate is entirely arbitrary in the Year of Our Lord 2017. Why

“Because the families are representing the company when they fly”

It’s also unequally applied. The girls’ dad was wearing cargo shorts. The problem with the leggings wasn’t that they’re too casual, but that they’re form-fitting... which should NOT be an issue for children. (In general, any rule that holds that men’s casualwear is okay but women’s is not because OMG TOO SEXY is

Do you realize that expecting the child of an employee to fly under the employee dress code is fucking stupid to begin with?

The rule still makes no sense. None of the other passengers give a single fuck about (or even know) who did or didn’t pay for a ticket or what those people are wearing.

You do realize that the girl was 10 years old? Do you expect her to wear a tiny business suit?

Do you have to work at being this big an asshole or do you come by it naturally?

Reading is fundamental;

Becker’s attorney Thomas Rooke told MassLive.com that Becker received such a lenient sentence because anything harsher would have impeded his chances of having a college experience in Ohio.

So does the fact that he merely played high school sports make him sufficiently privileged to make him, his lawyers, and the judge appropriate targets for an online shame campaign?

And here’s the shit stain to whine about “sjws”. Using that term is pretty much like shooting off a flare that spells out “I’m a worthless asshat” in big red letters 300 feet tall.

Law student here (obviously). I’ve personally watched an 18 year old African American boy be charged with and convicted of sexual assault, and thereby required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s law, all because he was reported by the parents of his 15 year old girlfriend/classmate after they didn’t approve

Prosecutors recommended that the three-sport athlete be found guilty, MassLive.com reported, on two counts of indecent assault and battery. The recommended sentence from the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office was two years in prison.

I don’t know that playing sports makes him an appropriate target for shaming but the whole sexual assault thing seems like it comfortably clears the bar.

Well, it made him privileged enough to skate out of a felony conviction.

Keep on minimizing sexual assault. You’re doing great.

What possible reason would they have for doing this and what rationalizations are they willing to offer?

You are taking a humorous article way too seriously. Where you bottle fed as a child?

You mad, bro?

An absent father and an abusive, drug-addicted mother ruined my childhood. So bad movies are no skin off my back. #winning
