see, this right here is what I love about her. I go for the dancing. It’s powerfuly, fiercely feminine.

People who don’t like Beyoncé don’t like fresh air, clean water, good genitals, wine that costs more than Arbor Mist, pizza, etc.
I think she’s one of the best performers and artists today. I do, however, find that report on her having cameras follow her 16 hours a day and having a vault of footage of herself she routinely watches to be high comedy. That’s some pretty strong self absorption. If you’ve got it, flaunt it.
I cut for Beyonce for exactly the same reason. I’m not a fan of her music (don’t dislike it, just not my jam) but to see her rise above all the petty bullshit that typically overtakes WOC as visible as her is admirable and .... just gives me joy.
Like many, I’m not a stan. I like her music when I hear it but I don’t seek her out. That doesn’t change the fact that I respect her immensely. As an artist she’s willing to put in the work in the studio and certainly on the stage.
People that hate on Bey are doing it because they believe that being contrarian like that makes them interesting...it does not.
I got a chance to see the full Coachella show and Beyonce did her thing. Beforehand I saw comments on how she was stiff, hadn’t lost all her baby weight and she was doing the same thing over and over again. I saw an awesome performance...point blank period.
I like Beyonce and all but my issue isn’t with her but with the Beyhive.
I was really lukewarm to her—loved her singles but wouldn’t call myself a “fan” and was turned off by the immense and constant hype—until I watched a YouTube video of her performance at Glastonbury Festival. I watched it maybe four years ago and I stayed up for hours watching YouTube videos of her and was totally…
My only real complaint with Bey is when that She-Hulk picture her was floating around. I wish she had taken that one to Marvel and went to secure that bag of Disney Money.
I’ve always thought of Beyonce the same way I think about Meryl Streep. She’s good at what she does but not the phenomenon that everybody makes her out to be. While neither are my cup of tea, I admit it takes a lot of hard work and determination to do what they do and I respect them for it.
