Boy, the number of these types of channels have really exploded since Every Frame a Painting, haven’t they?

Intersting, I hadn’t heard about a rotary other than the Wankel before, I’ll have to check it out, thanks!
i think somebody made one of those in Nevada in the 40's.
Hmm. Same sealing issues as a Wankel though, and the same lubrication problem. Despite what they’re saying, I think it will be just as “dirty” as a Wankel, and have the same fuel efficiency constraints due to the high surface to volume ratio of the “combustion chamber/cylinder.” You can’t really beat a round piston in…

I guess “float” is not quite the right word. But it would loose weight as the flood water gets higher. If it got too close to the top, it would not have enough weight left to hold itself down. But I guess I am looking at this too pessimistically. This really is a great idea for a lot of flood prone areas.
Making your own snowballs won’t help.
No. This is a failure of the military industrial complex for building crappy products that cost too much.
I am very much a believer in doing everything we can to prevent climate change. But this anecdotal evidence at best.
If I was king, I’d probably be king.
“We’ve designed and entirely new explosion-holder for this model year, and paired it with one of our most successful eight-speed boxes o’ spinny bits.”
Particularly the engine, which holds explosions.
But really, when has GM ever faced consequences for stupid past decisions and resistance to new technology?
You don't have to buy one.
A case of wrong pedal pushed hard but I’m gonna repeat here over and over, I’m not ok with Tesla accessing “your” car logs. They can put their hands unconditionally on too much information. And so can guess who...
Before trackdays I like to watch some videos of guys just racing the hell outta their bikes. This guy, Phillip Crowe, has some amazing onboard footage on his Youtube channel. Unfortunately he crashes out, but it’s still incredibly impressive to watch him man-handle that S1000RR:
Edit: race starts at around 4:30
I can’t help but read this and think “This sounds like the sort of stunt Smokey Yunick would have tried to pull”.
Cad and Cnc based die molds. “In the old days” multiple molds would have to be made. It’s one thing to make a super complex mold but to get a dozen of them to be consistent is a whole other level of difficulty. With Cnc mills simply throw in a block and make another die. In addition also the re-adoption of hydro…
This is exactly why I shut off my fingerprint device on my smartphone. There isn't a darn thing on it that's illegal in any way and I'm still not going to use it. I can be compelled to use something I have but not something only I know.
