Since they appear to be chain driven, why not lay the engine horizontally? Seems like visibility would be better

Id have to cad it up to be sure, but I think they would have crosshead. Otherwise connecting rods would hit the sides of the cylinder bore.
Make it an engineering challenge.
“Lighter cars get better gas mileage. That is basic physics”
Exactly this. Worry about overall mpg rather than body style. Crossovers are very close to equivalent sized sedans.
How about assess the tax based on height*length?
Either you know about this than I do, or less. It's hard to tell.
From what I’ve read it isn’t just that the system uses a single sensor when two are available, it also alternates between which sensor it uses on each flight. Which (if true) leads to a sensor failing, pilots reporting a problem, then the system alternating the other, good, sensor when ground crew are trying to…
I can’t help but be offended by the lack of air filters.
Once range exceeds 150-200mi, it becomes all about charging time. Bellow that, range is more important.
It could lift much more than an equivalent sized airplane.
Im not an electrical engineer, but shouldn’t it be possible to better quantify the health/remaining life of a battery than just saying how many miles it drove? Preferably something that could be tested?
Not looks like a “free candy” van.
The credits make more sense if thought of as going to manufacturers rather than consumers (which, in a way, they are).
There was a time not so long ago when electrified cars were all super economy punishment machines. All of them were embarrassing to be in. Having very fast EV’s gives a halo effect to the rest making them “cooler”
I want to see the fights between the tesla brodozers and the station icers.
Vegans have money too now.
It’s all about signaling. A luxury car is one that projects the idea of being expensive. Mercedes seems expensive, even when it isn’t. Kia doesn’t, even when it is.
Fancy headlights are expensive. The point of lower trims is to reduce cost. That cost has to come from somewhere.
I’m confused about the large turning radius. If you are off roading, there are typically rather tight trails, which require a tight turning radius to navigate. Doing a 3-5 point turn is much more difficult when the ground isn’t level. Why isn’t the worlds most famous off roader better in this department?
