Conventional brakes translate pressure on the brake pedal to braking force on the wheels. The exact translation depends on many factors (Friction material, brake temperature, the presence of water and other contaminants, etc) some of which cannot be practically measured. Therefor the exact relationship between brake

Right, but resistors don’t wear out, so they don’t require replacement. I bet there is a sizable resistor in the form of the cabin heater.

The problem isn’t sensing the driver input, the problem is predicting the conventional break output. Just how much breaking force will you get if you press the break pedal with x force?

One disagreement, on the battery being full. There is a limit to the rate at which the generator can absorb kinetic energy, but it need not put it in the battery. One can always dump the excess energy into a resistor bank.

There is a response here that claims that the pipeline was damaged, and therefor shut down. If that’s the case, disregard my comment.

To be fair, its not the people doing the stealing that are causing the shortages, it’s the government response (of closing the pipelines) that’s causing the shortages.

Printed parts are getting a lot better than they used to be, but they certainly do not feel premium.

“But in a $140,000 car, I expected more here. You get the same sort of switches, buttons, and trim you get in a Malibu or Traverse”

I think they are trying to gloss over the fact that they expect energy density to plateau. Which makes me wonder what else they are carefully not saying.

I found it really strange that they are graphing Wh/liter rather than Wh/kg.

Car inductive chargers seem like a really bad idea. EVs are about 3 times more efficient than ice vehicles. An inductive charger cuts that advantage in half. It can’t be that hard to make an automatic plug (that doesn’t look like an alien butt probe)

The chrome not grill outline make it look like a cartoon bad guy that is very satisfied.

I get why electric vehicles have no grills, but why are they all going to extra thin headlights?

It just occurred to me that the term revcounter is rather incorrect.

Don’t let Samir drive it. He’ll break it.

But thats the way the internet works. Once Jimbo and his pals did something like that, of course the person whom it was done to is going to report it. And it doesn’t matter if 99% of the people who read this say “don’t feed the trolls” because 1% will repost. Those 1% can reach hundreds of thousands, and among them

I’m not familiar with the cheesing story, and I dont doubt that the outlets are spreading these stories for outrage clicks. That said, some assholes did decide to block charging location with their bro trucks and scream profanities. That seems to justify a certain amount of outrage.

You think they faked a picture?

It appears the number of dumbasses with big trucks has a limit.

Here it is in a different area
