Because both companies are have been started in the service of the same goal, and he doesn’t think the second can succeed without the first.

I didn’t say he doesn’t care about money, I said it wasn’t his driving goal. If he was out to build as big of fortune as he could he would be in hedge funds, or real estate.

Agreed. I would have thought it was still in the money pit stage. Maybe it can turn a profit someday, but have they really reached that day already?

I don’t think his goals are to make as much money as possible. His goals do happen to require lots of money.

Normal owner will care about built quality, reliability, price etc. I doubt they are going to base their buying decisions on what the CEO is writing on tweeter.

You're right, that makes more sense.

It had 3 owners! 3 people paid money for that thing!

And why in the hell would the DEA ask tesla to conduct an internal investigation into possible drug running? I find that to be pretty unlikely. If DEA thought something was going on, they would show up and start doing searches.

While I hate most manufacturers business model of very small incremental improvements thru frequent refresh cycles, HD shows why its necessary.

Too bad it's underfunded. Need f1 level technology dedicated to crank starting, and pig aero helmets.

The screwing over part is fine. It's the lie that's a problem.
