Actually the oil often wicks up the exhaust header threads since some of the studs go into oil passages. Remove the header and studs, add some red rtv, reinstall, and Bob’s your uncle.

I’m curious how much vegetation would help. There are a lot of sections of barrier walls in my area that are almost completely covered in vines. I know that wouldn’t work in the Southwest, but in most other areas I don’t see why they just can’t plant some fast growing, evergreen vegetation and just let it go wild.

I’ve been hunting for one, but they’re pricey.

I’d just like to add that gap insurance exists in case something happens to the car and you owe more than the current value of the car.
