Yeah, NADA has the “high retail” as $22,900, but average retail is half that. This particular example is above average, but the value here is closer to the average than the seller seems to think. He’s a good $5k high (and $13,500 is still more than I would pay).

If you want to go to Radwood this ‘79 two tone w/77k will get you there for only $4,500 ... yeah it’s got some dings but it’s not $14k worth of dings less and it has side stripes, two tone and side louvers as well as rear. I was at first willing to go NP but then I did a searchtempest and there are a ton of these…

Way too many issues for 3 grand. If it was just one of the problems, then yes 3k is worth a gamble. Add up all of the issues and damage, you get to what are you smoking territory.

And getting stuck with the vet bills!

RE: #2: I think everyone is ok with a “racing incident” if it occurs but dodging vehicles cutting across an active racing surface with no warning is not part of what they signed up for.

Don’t feel too bad, I thought the same thing through most of the video and once the bag went off didn’t really pay much more attention to it. But then seeing the bit about his condition, way at the bottom of the article, thought “Oh, well that explains it; should have put that bit up towards the top of the article.”…
