It bothers me less than them not having irises in the first place, if I’m honest. But I can understand why people might dislike the change. It only took me about 5 minutes of SWTOR to both remind me of and cement just how much I disliked the old depiction.

Bigger victory? This means Rex might be safe from the Heroic Death trope for awhile.

Well we do know that she has force abilities; what we don’t know is whether she actually trained at using them.

It’s because they’re even more of C-listers than the “main” crew of the Guardians, if I had to guess. Phyla got rather unceremoniously killed off and still hasn’t returned to the comics.

I’m super biased, but Phyla as Quasar is easily one of my top 5 favorite characters. She was sooo good in Conquest. I want them to bring her back almost more than I want a She-Hulk ongoing to actually survive long enough to get a completed arc.

K2-SO and Chopper, buddy cops forever! A hundred years, K2 and Chopper!

Gambon’s delivery in the key scenes of Prisoner was absolutely impeccable. All it took was four words to convince me for good. “Did what? Good night.” I like Harris’s warmth, but I can’t imagine him delivering that line.

Practically the same lineup except you forgot Cosmo and Phyla.

Yeah, this was a bit short on demonstrating what they were talking about for my taste; the Ben Burtt videos for TPM were amazing. Heck, even the foley behind-the-scenes for Republic Commando was better at it.

Still, cool to get so much of them talking about their craft, just wish it had had more footage.

“Left and right, little buddy.”

Quoting Aliens is a ton of fun and you should never stop.

Don’t put it all on German-Americans, there were plenty of Americans of many nationalities that endorsed, looked up to, or otherwise supported the Nazis. Many of the most outspoken opponents of the Nazis were German expatriates who had seen what they were like up close.

The most notable one to me has always been Henry Ford. Yep, good old captain of industry Henry Ford.

I guess that does make more sense, but unless they did less warning him about the potential ramifications of making a deal with Walder Frey and then again of the ramifications of breaking it, it’s still bizarrely selfish. Though at least it’s closer to the kind of ‘selfless’ selfishness that Ned exhibited so it’s not

I think a big part is how much of that the show leaves out due to time constraints, and to provide a bit less complicated narrative. They definitely don’t dwell long at all on how bad Robb Stark’s war was for everyone involved, or how his troops were just as bad as the Lannisters. I don’t think they mention Stannis

Of course, that scene in particular is why Lara Croft is definitely at least low-grade superhero. You don’t walk that shit off with just cauterizing it and stitches. That’s a game over injury without good medical attention and bare minimum a lot of rest. You definitely don’t go rock-climbing mere hours later.

You heard correct. Sadly.

Because starring in a major motion picture requires much more name recognition than a voice acting credit in the game it is based on. She’s good in the games, no doubt, but studios in particular have marketing concerns to worry about; for a franchise like this, there are serious financing concerns as well.

Given the quality of the last Bourne movie... I think you need better data points. I love the series and I could not tell you a single plot point from that one.

Doing Venom without Spider-Man is so wrong though. It could work, maybe, but giving up the connection to Spider-Man gives up so many of the best stories. The lack of the existing comics universe kinda kills a lot of the rest.

Except for “launching a Spider-Man movie universe”, choosing a Venom story that is so far removed from what most people think of when they think about Venom probably isn’t a great entry point.

Honestly, Venom is a pretty terrible entry point to the universe as it is, because the core plot that actually engages with the
