I might consider this perspective more seriously if we didn’t live under patriarchy.
Patriarchy cares a lot about fetus life, but very little about actual living baby children. Or living women.
So really it’s not about people, it’s about controlling women’s bodies.

And yet being a separate person is. If something requires being embedded inside of a body that feeds it and breathes for it, and will die if not having everything necessary done for it, than it is effectively no more separate than a heart or a lung.

I think think of it more as a potential life. It doesn’t even look like anything but a clump for the first trimester. A cancerous cell is a form of human life, and we feel no remorse at excising it. Of course, the clump of cells in a uterus can, with much money, time and effort, become a human. But it isn’t one.

If it would die if removed from your body, than it’s not alive.
