All the appropriate and deserved mullet jokes aside, I like the new Camaro. I think it's an awesome mix of technology, power, and nostalgia.

@KAdams1476: Almost 20 years ago, a Chevy LUV pulled my lifted Toyota out of a mug bog (he was on dry land with a long tow strap). I'm not doubting them in the slightest.
They did use a chain saw. There is no way an old Chevy Luv or whatever that was could pull over a tree of any size. They pulled it with the truck to make sure it didn't fall against the house.
@Davk: I had a very close call in my earlier years. Was almost crushed by a VW Corrado. What a horrific f-g death that would have been.
This would look awesome in burnt orange. The current paint is horrible. If it were $10k less, and better color, I'd call it a nice price.
@Optixtruf: Even more offensive: The 4 cylinder turbo produced 122BHP. Specific output of 65.8 Hp/liter for a turbocharged motor.
@Optixtruf: Funny, it was almost believable a retarded, "forward thinking" 80's engineer would have tied the AWD to the wipers.
@Optixtruf: I'm calling BS on that. Wiki says they were all wheel drive or push button selectable.
@ShantJ: They weren't bad looking cars, and probably reasonably fast too. But even in the 80's they were impossible to keep running. I knew a guy who had one back then. I can't imagine one now.
@pjstevens77: While that was one boring crapbox, the company car my father had took a hell of a beating before it was retired- and was running well at the time.
@kdawghomie: Even in recent history, motorcycles were changed for California. The other models, aka 49 state bikes have more power and are only able to be registered in Ca. after a few thousand miles.
Acura,
@Sloop_John_B: It would appear my local low mileage japanese motor/ transmission importers stock Millenia parts. So his $2500 transmission would have cost $500 or less. Plus install. They even have six month unlimited mileage warranties.
I did this in the 90's in my twin turbo RX-7 with a couple other friends in similar cars. In the SF Bay Area. In traffic.
@dculberson: I've somewhat been in the market for a 996. The local Porsche shop highly recommended staying away from '99-'01 (or there abouts) due to engine problems. They didn't even want to rebuild a '99 fixer I found. Replacement engine: $10k +/-
Portholes? Really? I guess no Infiniti designers have been through Oakland lately.
@89macrunner: It was a TSB only. I didn't qualify because I bought my 2000 in '04. They only covered for 3 years or 36,000, I believe. Which sucked because I bought it with less than 12,000 miles.
@Thomas Paladino: it's real!
@grubish1: I've had similar experiences with 5 different Toyota trucks.
@sinyster: inheritance or hand me down from Dad?
