Back when I was about 20 and cared about things like remote start— the reputable car stereo shop turned me down. They even told me the remote start module would have the ability to sense if it was installed in a manual transmission vehicle, and cease to function.
@mastertoby: @DrCruelty: Toyota trucks used to have a clutch safety override switch which ostensibly would allow a driver to move the vehicle forward with the starter to clear an intersection/ railroad tracks etc.
