Maybe “black-owned” is only one piece of it. i got to thinking again about what Devin McGhee said in Glamour about the need for women of color in leadership positions at beauty companies. That should include the big publically traded ones as well. There should be legislation or at least public pressure for all

Oh, I know what you mean, that was really gross and upsetting.

I liked this one:

Mr. Thoughts, with all due respect, BlackMage2030 is clearly not a table. You underestimate the sophistication of The Root and its audience. Fancy Nancy has been called to account again and again here in the past, and will be in the future. But now is the time for a victory lap to celebrate the hard and tedious work

I would love to see her in McConnell’s job someday soon! But if she wants to run for governor again, I’m here for that too. She tells it like it is, but she sounds so positive and hopeful, like “Here’s the obvious thing to do and let’s just go do it already.”

I mean, I hear you, but like the book says, there’s a time to cast stones and a time to gather and get stones together. Sometimes you need that energy of gathering behind a hero and cheering them on, to sustain you for the hard work of marching and making calls and holding policy makers on your own side accountable.

They better hurry--a year from now, Pat McGrath might have all my money already.

Wow, so Carole’s Daughter is L’Oréal now—how did I miss that.

Oh man, I’d probably smash the TV seeing that “Fanta Menace” as Maiysha calls him. But I’m looking forward to seeing more of the lewks on here maybe.

He is a burning anthill of lies.

Mmm, thanks, so much to listen to this weekend.

YAASS Devin McGhee! And yes to women of color in leadership positions at beauty companies. And all kinds of companies.

What if Marilyn Mosby runs for president someday? Does she qualify as a “progressive prosecutor,” or would she still be considered a cop?

Thank you for calling them terrorists--that’s exactly what it is and I hope it’s recognized as such.

Oh, I see, yes! That makes it easier. You don’t get the perfume samples, but I guess that’s OK.

In the end, I believe I will cut and paste this next series of sentences half a dozen times over the next 18 months

Canal Street Chanel bag of journalism

British Vogue is so expensive! But all right, guess we’ve got to go find one.

Thank you again.
