It goes back to about 15-20 years ago when Big Yoga came into my neighborhood and pushed out all the restaurants selling yummy fried things. But what’s done is done. If there’s any chance it can help me attain some of Doria Ragland’s poise and posture, I’m willing to let bygones be bygones.

She’s a yoga instructor isn’t she, or she was at some point? I’m opposed to yoga generally, but seeing her looking so graceful in that shawl I can kind of see the advantages of it. When I wear a shawl like that I always look like some crazy old biddy in a storybook. (Or maybe it’s just her natural grace and nothing

Those bobby pins would kill a person, but I love how you capture the light on them. And the pic of the Curvy Con attendee is perfect—how you caught her looking beautiful but relaxed so you can feel her spirit.

I’m gonna say Tiffany Haddish won NYFW, cause she can use it all in her act, but Slick Woods definitely won NSFW and most fashionable labor pains of all time.

Looks a lot more fun than the Harper’s Bazaar thing. I think I recognize Tarana Burke’s gown from the post on the Siriano show. It’s lovely on her. Teyana Taylor’s tuxedo dress is kind of wonderful too—shows you don’t have to show a lot of skin to look great. Glad no shoes were thrown.

I’m craving a one-woman show of Ms. Tyson reading Paul Laurence Dunbar. It seems like she still has the energy.

So beautiful—although after viewing the Cushnie, Siriano and Chromat slides, the absence of plus size models here looks odd.

I loved the sequinned black gown on the model in slide 14, although calling her “plus size” might be a bit of a stretch.

Anyway, it would be good if she could sue him herself and for a lot but have her lawyers take care of it so it causes her no stress at all, and she doesn’t get dragged through the mud all over again.

I had a housemate who set her robe on fire while making breakfast on a gas stove, probably around the same age. That’s good advice to throw a towel on it, NOT water and NOT your hands. So I guess the rule is never touch someone without permission, unless they are on fire and then you may throw a towel or blanket on

I like that Chromat is made in New York, so presumably in safe working conditions and not child labor, at least. And the items on the sale page are not unaffordable. Good to know about this designer.

I hope she sues and wins and has the satisfaction of seeing him fired and shunned by society and expensively divorced when Ms. Chen realizes he’s of no further use to her.

Thank you for this, he is absolute trash. I like to think Ms Jackson could incinerate him with a sharp look, if she thought it was even worth the effort.

Good. I could not pull these off myself (let alone afford them), but would enjoy seeing others wear them. I hope they catch on.

Maybe that will help me keep my sanity during fashion week with all the spindly, anemic-looking arms and legs on our screens.

I was afraid of that. I have never attempted a Crow pose, had to google it, looks awful. I’m still going to tape up her Emmys picture to inspire me to do arm circles in front of tv. Better than nothing, right?

Those arms! I want to know how.

We are three female black designers who have come together against what everything says, in terms of the way black women work together—that we’re ‘mean girls’—and we have already debunked that myth

She wrote a lot of her songs, some on her own, some with her first husband, some with her sister Carolyn. And even though “Respect” was originally Otis Redding, she put in the “Sockittome” and the spelling. Redding’s version is great, of course, but hers sounds completely different. (Sorry, I don’t mean to pose as an
