basically what I’m saying, I’m sick of this bloodhound journalism, really ruining Jalopnik for me, I want to see silly ridiculous things. I already know Paul Tracy is a dick, let’s let NBC and some mob somewhere else worry about it instead of making this website just another cesspool of outraged commenters...
not saying he didn’t do it. Actually after reading Marshall Pruett’s (much more professional - take note Liz) article I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was really him. Can’t we just wait until it’s actually determined what happened to get out our torches and pitch forks or are we that hungry for a fight?
pretty clearly stated that I dislike the guy, I actually really don’t like him at all. I just hate this kind of foaming at the mouth speculative journalism. It’s a 2+2=5 type argument, yeah 5 isn’t that far off from 4 but she’s clearly just stirring up partisan fueled outrage - that’s a bad look in my book.
Not a big fan of PT or his political leanings but this hardly passes for journalism. His previous social media posts cited here hardly compare to the severity of this alleged comment, let alone serve as evidence that it must have been him who typed it. Seems like a pretty rash thing for even him to say, his track…
I prefer the organic feel of older tracks - smooth corners, natural undulations etc. these modern tracks are just so wide and uniform, even when they have elevation change they still look so “flat” and featureless to me, like the whole thing was made with a computerized laser. To be fair I think it will easily be a…
Truth. I can’t even bring myself to watch it anymore. This year, anytime we are lucky enough to have a real battle for a podium position for more than 2 corners the event as heralded as a “great race” (eye roll). We were spoiled with fantastic spectacles in this final pre-hybrid era - maniacal cars, driving on the…
do you really keep an enzo unlocked though? I guess she has already demonstrated a high degree of recklessness ...
im more interested in where those keys were...
I can’t get excited about this track, its so sterile and almost none of it makes sense, classic mickey mouse tilke. Even the F1 cars looks slow on it, which doesn’t bode well for anything else. I actually really enjoyed the ALMS race at COTA circa 2013, but I’m glad IMSA has now dumped it for Mid-Ohio. While I’m always…
best numbers I can find for current percentages is 20% combined (9% for nuclear, 11% for renewables in 2017 according to the EIA). Factor in the additional impacts of electrics/hybrids outside of the narrow analysis of just tailpipe emissions (or their equivalent emissions per mile of travel) and I’d say we still have…
i still don’t feel like we’re addressing where all the power to move those electric cars comes from. I don’t understand why this is so lost on people, “renewables” aren’t exactly around the corner from meeting this demand...
i mean wildlife santuraries are prob my second favorite thing after racetracks, at least it won’t be a strip mall
for this we must bring back tire wars! prob the first thing i would do as F1 king ;)
indeed, and along with my logic about the cars, the engines are already developed as well, so its not a huge cost to print out 6 instead of 3, and probably less expensive to develop as they wont have to be as insanely reliable
I’m not sure we’d have 10 cars on the grid if they were only allowed to run one car. It’s the scale that makes it possible for some teams, running 2 cars is actually much more cost effective than just running one (hence the argument for 3rd cars), gets you more points, more exposure, etc and the car is already…
I like it, looks mountains better than the current cars, now just let them run whatever power unit they damn please
the tires arent going to be any larger, just the profile of the sidewalls to accommodate larger rims. The reason oft cited as being that high profile tires arent really that relevant in terms of road car marketing
looks miles better than any F1 car has in years imo
I love that Ferrari concept but i don’t know that the proportions make sense, i think the car would have to be the size of an LMP1 for that door to be any kind of useful. Its so tiny.
