yeah i did read it, audi’s back around the r10 days did occasionally spew out visible black emissions (not legal), which happen when you don’t run them lean enough (i.e exactly what this whole VW thing is about). If i recall correctly at least one broadcaster suggested they could run them dirtier to gain an advantage…
