Right there with you. I’m sick of hearing how much she’s “hated.” I liked and respected her and dammit her presidency would have been historic in so many ways.

He looks so unhealthy. Money truly can’t buy everything. Plus being an orange bag of dicks takes its toll on your health.

RIGHT?!

I have loved her since she was FLOTUS...so I feel you. Are you a member of PSN?

I do dearly love Joe Biden. I think Obama’s actually been good for his worldview, and could certainly do a lot to clear away some of his less-savory Senatorial history. Frankly, I think the death of his son did take a lot of wind out of his sails at beginning of the campaign season (his rumination on faith and loss

This. I’m over Joe, I’ve been over Bernie. Like, stop it, already.

I can’t imagine Trump will still be president in four years! Surely he’ll quit in a huff, or leave to run Trump TV, or be impeached/indicted, or just plain keel over from the stress - he’s no spring chicken, and he already looks like a heart attack waiting to happen. I give him two years, tops.

I will vote for anyone in 2020 who can unseat Cheeto Mussolini. I do not care how old. I do not care what color skin. I do not care if they have been in the Senate for eleventy billion years. I do not care if they have been in the Senate for one year.

Just waiting for all of the “more of the same” anti-Hillary assholes get behind Biden in 2020 the same way they held her responsible for his crime bill when he was senator and she was just FLOTUS.

You’re probably right. I think the idea has more to do with this desire to hold on the the hope so many people had during the Obama administration. I’ve had the sense that Michelle was forced into a mold to appeal to the public towards the end of the 2008 campaign and has had to play a role ever since.

count me in as thrilled to spend the next 4 years listening to bernie sanders supporters who hated neoliberalism jumping on the cory booker/joe biden neoliberal bandwagon, because neoliberalism is only crappy when women do it.

If you want an up and coming woman of color candidate, I think Tammy Duckworth could take us places.

Seems like a good candidate for the Democrats. I know some people have bounced around the idea of Michelle Obama running, but I’m not convinced she’s held office as much as a presidential candidate should. At the same time, the President elect has literally never held office, like, ever, so wtf do I know. There’s also

I’d love to see that on a campaign button:

Honestly, it doesn’t really seem like he meant it. He’s just shooting the shit. He’s not gonna do it.

Nope. I love Uncle Joe, but the last thing we need in 2020 is a 70-something who’s run for president twice already.

Yes. But I own my horribility. Horribleness? Horrorosity?

Yup. Lindy West has a well known history even outside of the Gawker community of being a target of vicious harassment. I’m not in the least surprised or offended that she’s written off comment sections entirely.

I got internally huffy when I read her remarks in Shrill, but then I remembered what sort of comments used to show up on her posts. In fact, you can go back and look at them. I really can’t blame her. When I read student reviews, for example, the ones that really stick with me are the awful, nasty ones—the ones that
