I hear what you’re saying however,the ads are implying that a 50 year old will look like the 25 year old which is BS. There are, however, “preventative” products that are geared towards women in their 20's-30's and I have no problem with that.

All those things are true, but “lazy” and”boring” still don’t seem like good enough reasons to ban something, nor does a brand not being ‘true’ enough to their identity. I’m not defending the taste of it, I’m questioning the rationale and usefulness of banning such ads.

See, I’m almost on the other end of the spectrum. I don’t mind ads that are sexual because I think many times the opposition sounds puritannical and pearl-clutchy. I don’t see what’s “shocking” about the YSL ad. It may not make sense but fashion ads rarely do.
