Yes, you tell him he's wrong. It's not cruel. It's more cruel to leave it go, to let him believe he did something wrong by doing the right thing and protecting his kids, to let him convince others to avoid doing the right thing. He would have the same problem whether or not he vaccinated his kids. But now he blames

To be a pedant, you shouldn’t *think* he’s wrong, we *know* he’s wrong. The only peer reviewed study that linked vaccines and autism has been confirmed as fraudulent and no other work has found any link.

My family is in kind of the same situation with my mom’s cousin so we don’t see her much. But I cringe at the fact that one “study” that wasn’t a study at all is still held up by so many and is still causing so much harm.

I wonder if these people “just ask questions” and “do [their] own research” before taking an Advil or boarding an airplane.

Exactly. “Hey, I’m just asking questions” is how you respond when you’re a) deliberately saying something inflammatory and in bad faith and/or b) being called out for saying something shitty.

If your reason is paranoia about things like the hunt for Bin Laden or the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, then sure, let’s talk. If it’s skepticism about the science of vaccinations, then you’re an idiot who is contributing to people dying. If you’re anti-vax because Bill Gates “stands to profit from it greatly” or

Just asking questions is a cowards answer spouted by conspiracy theorists and racists.  Actual questions aren't phrased like that.

Let me be blunt.  Anyone pedaling anti vaccine bullshit lately can get fucked.  This is the worst time in the past half century to be anti vaccine.

Eh, if you choose to spread dangerous misinformation about the deadly pandemic sweeping across the world and about vaccines in general, sorry, you deserve to be canceled. Like, I can’t think of a more justifiable reason for canceling somebody. Also, people need to fuck off with the “just asking questions” bullshit.

Is the book enjoyable to read? I have had a love-hate relationship with ANTM since the mid 00's when they would blast those marathons on VH1/MTV/Oxygen. And the renewed interest in some of the problematic moments gives me so much life. My thing is, didn’t we all know it was messed up at the time?? We all lived for

Republican women who don’t go to rallies, aren’t particularly worried about LGBT (afterall, #AllLivesMatter), but will, depressingly, vote for Trump cause the Democrats don’t love America enough?

Not all white middle-class moms. Just the ones who get together with the gals for glasses of wine and think those gays in California are a hoot so long as they stay out of our families and neighborhoods.

It’s for whoever bought her ugly shoes.

but she’s thin, white & blonde!  &...&...emails!

There was that Succession-inspired article in Politico (? maybe The Atlantic?) last fall that said that actually Don Jr. is considered the political heir apparent now. He was considered to lack in diligence and competence even by Trump standards, so he was the one without much to do at the start of all this, but it

Three years in, she’s complicit. No pass. No excuses.

While Trump hoped she would be his political heir it is impossible to imagine why anyone would see her as someone to support. What does she stand for? Why would you vote for her? What would you think she is going to accomplish? If you voted for Trump you at least knew he would be racist and start idiotic trade wars.

Her daddy’s “let’s create a totally fictional back story for myself” grift hasn’t worked out all that well for Daddy’s Little Princess. No one’s buying the crap she’s trying to sell.

All those replies just didn’t read her tweet carefully: She only wants “less” hate — obviously she doesn’t want to eliminate hate altogether. She LOVES most an awful lot of hate. She just wants us to tone it down a bit, ok? Stop hating her daddy and hubby for being evil, pls!

To be fair, her mind must be a confusingly dissonant place.
