I’m biased because she’s one of my faves, but this seems like Monique’s moment now. I’d be ok with Monet or Trinity winning too, but I don’t think Naomi, while I like her, has earned it.

I agree we saw too little of the Judy performance (I was t even clear on what the performance was supposed to be..) But the judges repeatedly brought it up, so clearly it did matter. Letting us see mere seconds of it was sloppy editing.

Silky won the live reveal, easily. I also have my eye on Scarlett and Honey (who is a superhero.) Shuga Cain also caught my eye. And I’m thrilled Columbus’ own Nina West made it at last. I’m ready to see more of all of them though.

I read the first graphic novel in the original run....and I hated that. So I definitely won’t be reading the reboot. I’m kinda meh about a lot of these changes anyway.

So, Trinity was here in Columbus for a viewing party/meet and greet, which I sadly did not attend but I know someone who did. Apparently, her cape had wings or something like that she could do a reveal on, but she had a brain fart and forgot about them.

Really? I thought she easily won that lipsync and brought as much to the song as she could. I’m even someone who has bought Ru’s music in the past, and I think “Kitty Girl” is a pretty meh song for a lipsync showdown.

Oh fuck me. I would live for a drag king season. I can’t say I’m tired of the relative abundance of drag on my tv, but they’ve got to do something to change it up.

The only wildcard was if Valentina came to the runway unprepared. Otherwise, yeah it was comfortably unsuspenseful (and thankfully the trending rumor that somehow Latrice eliminates Valentina was wrong.)

Yeah, she’s been underwhelming. Maybe we’ve built her up too much over the years, she was pretty uneven on her seasons.

There’s (a completely unsubstantiated) rumor that that they wanted Aja back for AS4, but she passed. I’d be fine with having her on every season. She was one of the real winners of AS3.

“Sissy that Walk” is the only one with some emotion. The others are fine. It does seem like maaaybe the remaining queens knew which box to pick. “Peanut Butter” was made for Trinity’s hiney shake, “Sissy that Walk” for an emotional bout between Latrice and Monique.

I hate that this is an unpopular opinion, but I am living for Monique. (And I don’t know if she invented “gooped”, but it’s catching on. If it makes you feel better though, my aggressive Apple spellcheck changed it to “goofed”, twice.)

I just want to say, bless you for the Monique love. She clearly wasn’t in real danger of leaving, but seeing her in the bottom was still a great injustice. Her set, along with Monet’s and Manila’s, were all winners.

I’m getting this occasional vibe that Latrice thinks she deserves it because she’s Latrice. Let us hope she snaps out of all that.
