Acting challenges are fine, but TBH they've been given some pretty lackluster materials.

And I think Shanel turns up as a makeup artist.

I'd say many of these queens are promising, but need a few more years in the incubator. Meanwhile, some of the others were long calcified into their schticks. The mix has made for an uneven season.

She hasn't otherwise behaved in keeping with that stereotype, so I'm leaning toward her story about editing fuckery being correct. Who wouldn't select a song from A Star is Born given the moment? Ok, yes, I'm sure now I still love Max.

S3 did have one great part of Snatch Game. I continue to love Alexis's weird pregnant and lesbian Alicia Keys. "Yo, I am pregnant and I am FIERCE!"

That is cool. That lipsync did nothing for me though alas, and I love that Blondie song. That and Rickie Lee Jones were my gateway into proper adult music.

AIIIIIEEEE. That season killed PR for me forever. Although, I can at least get Ginger sometimes. Maybe she's rising high because this has been a mediocre season performance-wise. The judge love for Gretchen baffles me to this day. Diapers! Her models were wearing diapers!

Since so many things are callbacks to previous seasons, I'd buck the trend and watch them in order. But it's not necessary. Especially since Season 1 appears to still be hard to get your hands on.

I suppose you could have worse strategies than "It worked for Jenna Maroney!." But not many.

Thanks. I did find that story upthread, and fwiw I think it's credible. The scene was disjointed, and didn't seem in character for Max. She's been so professional thus far. It's disappointing to think the editors might have taken that scene and cut it to make her look random and unstable.

Agreed. She was really insightful discussing her sobriety though. I'm glad we got to see that side of her.

It felt really disjointed and clearly had some cuts in it. I'd buy the editors stitched that together for maximum awkwardness. That's kind of shady though.
