I don't know for sure, but I have a strong suspicion Nelsan Ellis is ad-libbing the fuck out of his scenes.

One of many things that bugs about this show is characters who are stupid out of some lazy plot necessity or poor writing, versus characters who are intentionally, thoughtfully stupid (Badger from Breaking Bad is just one of many fine examples of the latter.) Nicole is possibly the worst offender on a show with a

Yeah but cmon. That orgy sucked, and was mostly full of gross people. If I could have the copious nudity described above, I would forgive all, including the werepanther story.

I quit reading the books after #8, but I believe Eric and Sookie are a couple for the last several books. Then he randomly turns into a dick-because necessary for Harris to end series the way she wants*-so Sookie breaks up with him and ends up with Sam.

I agree with you that it's too late…..but I wouldn't be shocked if they wrapped up that way. TB is nothing if not ready to throw random characters together, narrative foundation be damned.

I was disappointed that Lafayette framed it that as Jessica was begrudging him happiness (really, he should go yell at the writers.)

Oh good. Let's get out our shit-stirring stick over a misinterpreted scene from a shitty show.

As much as I long for the end of Tara's mom (they don't even have to kill her, they could write her off the show and we could all just agree to never speak of it again), it did provide us with a classic Lafayette moment. "No, Aunty, people looking at you like you crazy cause you stabbed someone."

This wasn't a great episode, but it held my attention.

He dies in book 2, pretty early I think.

I love that movie. It's been so long since I've seen it, I didn't realiza that was her.

True Blood is all I have left. I burned out on trashy reality programming circa Rock of Love S2, so I'm not sure what will fill the void in the near future.

Eh, that's not exactly programming (damn it, I hate people like me.)

The nadir was when Lafayette was kidnapped and tortured by Jesus' father because, fuck if I can recall exactly. Another wisely abandoned plot thread.

Frigging hell, if Lafayette and James do hook up, Hoyt almost definitely will return. Maybe they will try to fix the character assassination they did on him before they shipped him to Alaska.

I hate to defend the show truly, but seemingly they thought their captives were in a dungeon with no exits, and therefore safe. Also, leaving guards down there might prompt them to lose control, as happened with that one reaper guy. Thirdly, apparently something about Hep V means they have to sleep at regular

This got brought up on a sub-thread last week. I can't remember first season well enough to back this up, but people were adamant it was Hep D then while Hep V is the newer, strictly man-made bug.

Yeah, I was confused until last night. I'm guessing a human acquires Hep V by being fed on by an infected vamp, at which point they are a carrier. So, no, I don't think Arlene can feed anyone now. Or Holly.

We give Sookie a lot of shit in these parts, and justifiably so. But she mostly made sense last night. I could have used more of that Sookie for the last 6 seasons.

Also nicely explains how those two ended up in Shreveport, Louisiana. Because it's hard to buy that it was by choice.
