The thing was, the Bourne films do have some decent action bits, but it's almost never the close combat segments.

Morrowind's main story is fantastic, especially some of the final confrontations…
That really confused me, since Morrowind's main story was phenomenal (though I am biased) and Skyrim just seemed a step down, especially after that opening.
Although it does limit player choice, I find splitting up the party can be brilliant in any RPG that does it well. It should really be explored more by modern RPG developers.
