Tch, some of those songs barely lasted more than three notes, so even watching the video I couldn’t identify the melodies of most of the short ones.

I don’t know about “dozens,” but either way, you’d only really have to do it once.
Read the article man:
Then just change your 3DS clock. It’s not like the entire game takes place at night; it’s just time-shifted so that when it’s daytime IRL it’s nighttime in the game and vice-versa.
Maybe if we had more female game characters, we could have both diverse body types AND the cheesecake.
I know I’m probably in the minority, but there was a lot of stuff in there that appealed to me, as a fan of puzzles, rpgs, and super-cute things.
Money can definitely be a reason for something not being renewed for a second season though. Most things greenlit for a season are also given a budget for the production of the entire season. Rare is the show that is airing its first season while still being in production.
I can totally tell you for a fact that even a show that’s been on for more than a half-dozen seasons doesn’t have nearly as much in their database as you’d think they do. As a show gets more popular, writers get more ambitious, and scope gets bigger. Things from season 1 are rarely carried all the way through to even…
Smoke Ball’s still running away though.
Most of the 90s animation was farmed out to places like Korea. If anything, the less-detailed current style allows more studios to keep their animation local instead of outsourced.
Well, now that Adobe’s borked Flash beyond repair, it’s becoming more about Toonboom Harmony, but yeah. Digital symbol-based animation.
Well, keep in mind that Bugs Bunny cartoons were made to be shown in theaters. Each one had a more significant budget than a lot of TV animation does nowadays (when adjusted for inflation). Same thing with your comparison to Disney stuff: feature film has a LOT more money per minute of animation than television gets.…
Honestly, I’ll take Western animation now. All the stuff in the 90s was shipped overseas to be animated in places like Korea. With current designs, at least more of the animation can be kept in-house in the West.
Anime still likes to work with frame by frame animation, even when digital. So it’s still mostly one drawing at a time. Western animation prefers to take advantage of symbol movement and shape deformers, which is why designs are all bendy and less defined. It’s one way to keep costs down without paying your animators…
The person buying a 3DS on major-discount at holiday time, five years after console-release, is not going to be the same one early-adopting the NX.
You mean replace the 3DS? So you’re ignoring the intel about Nintendo announcing Ever Oasis, a new IP for the 3DS for 2017. Or Level-5's Vision event, where they announced 3 series coming to the 3DS, including their new IP Snack World, a soccer RPG, and a new robot IP.
Yokai Watch 2, Ace Attorney 6. Dragon Quest. Level-5's Snack World might make an appearance, as well as their soccer rpg and robot battling game if those get localized. Maybe more of that Ever Oasis they premiered at E3. Story of Seasons. Maybe DLC for Monster Hunter? Severed’s getting 3DS/Wii U crossbuy...
“Looks interesting,” said the person who didn’t read the article but just wanted to talk about a different game.
Ideas are cheap. If you want to work in the industry, you’ll have to have more game-dev skills than just coming up with ideas.
Nah. Even if you want this current PS4, wait until the Slim’s announced, and the older version is going to see a lot of sales. The price of the regular XB1's have plummeted since their Slim announcement. (Cheapest I’ve seen so far is $150)
