I could only get thought about 0:45 of that video before I was in danger of throwing my tablet across the room (and I really can't afford a new one).

You would think so. Sadly, most places don’t seem to work that way.
At my old job, I started noticing that 2 of the guys in my 8-person group would constantly interrupt/talk over the women (including our female boss). I’m usually the doormat-y-est doormat who ever lived, but this pissed me off enough that I decided to try an experiment and simply stop letting them interrupt me. If…
This exactly.
My Aunt (who is just an all-round amazing woman) is an admin. At a job in the distant past, she was getting sick of being constantly asked to do the decorating, make coffee, clean up, etc on top of her actual duties, that she actually just snapped one day and responded to some dude “asking” her to clean the coffee…
This seems like a perfect place for a toast article from this morning.
If so, I'll have to hand in mine along with you. I'm not ashamed of it, but I find it messy, painful, inconvenient, and kind of gross. It's just part of life for me and the vast majority of adult and young women, NBD. I find myself confused and annoyed by people at either extreme in their reaction "OMG! That's…
You're welcome. I wish the answer were more reassuring.
The language of the bill as it stands now specifically exempts psychiatrists. But, there are no other exemptions. So a PCP supervising depression treatment, or seeing a person they suspect is being abused by a partner, or who is showing signs of dementia, etc is still prohibited from asking about guns.
Pediatricians do ask most of those questions (especially when babies/toddlers start hitting the point where they're independently mobile), not for the purpose of reporting anyone to the police, but so that they can give the parents/family safety information that's specific and relevant to their situation. If you try…
Not to mention, this law isn't prohibiting Drs from lobbying about gun laws, it's prohibiting them from discussing safety measures with their patients in a way and setting that's completely within the area of their expertise and responsibility.
If I can respectfully suggest adding,
I was really confused by this as well. If I had to guess, I'd say that she meant "casein", which is class of proteins in milk. Some people can be sensitive to it. I can see how if you weren't paying very close attention, it would sound enough like calcium to confuse someone.
Good to know!
I had a very similar situation, a little later. Around 14, I grew 8 inches, and my body went from "short scrawny kid" to "adult woman" in about a year and a half. I was not at all prepared to handle the way that grown-ass men leered at me, and I found it terrifying. It took me the better part of 20 years to break…
I have a copper IUD. Insertion was painful for a few minutes, but manageable (I've never had kids) There are things you and your Dr can do to make it less painful. get your dr to proscribe a cervical softener, and take 400-600mg of ibuprofen about an hour before the insertion. Obviously, talk to your dr and YMMV, but…
If you have a chance, I'd give them a shot. They use the same kind of merino wool that smartwool does. (I realize that I'm beginning to sound like shill for them. I'm not, I swear, I just really like their socks). The biggest caveat I have is, if you have big calves, their knee highs are unlikely to fit well. I have…
I've had really good luck with point6 socks. They're as comfortable as Smartwool, but they last much longer. I have terrible problems with wearing out the toes and heels of my smartwools within 6 months or less, but I've had several pairs of Point6 socks for upwards of 2 years without them wearing out.
Yeah, my vet does that as well, and it makes me twitch. My cats are actually mother and daughter, and so I have occasionally made reference to the kitten laughing at or fighting with her "mom". For some reason the vet staff keep thinking that I'm talking about myself. I keep having to clarify that, no, I'm talking…
Do you happen to know if they're available in sizes above a 16? I tried to click through from the reviews to the actual product page, but I just got a "product not found" error.
