I heard a rumour saying pretty much exactly this; that a group of owners was griping about tampering and the league basically responded that if they’d give them access to their email and text messages the investigations would be much better and that shut everybody up pretty quickly.

“Please, Rich Paul, stop calling. I realize that we WANT to give your client $100 million, but we can’t set it up now, because we’ll have to pay a 10% fee on top of that for tampering. We’ll just have to wait another six months to talk to you and hope nobody else ponies up that 10%.”

Looking forward to the first team who votes for these proposals to have to submit their emails to the NBA league office.

There is a zero percent chance that the NBAPA will ever allow the owners to control the players’ fucking communications with each other. I am highly disappointed in Silver, who I generally think is an amazing commissioner, as this is an example of plantation mentality.

Don’t give these NCAA turds an inch. Guess they aren’t content ruling their fiefdom of child slaves, they should rightfully be told to pound sand trying to get the adults to play by their rules.

Why do agents care what the NCAA has to say? Agents aren’t under NCAA jurisdiction, so what reason do they have to accept any regulations from the NCAA?

Never thought I’d side with agents on anything before but the NCAA needs to be dissolved. It’s a parasitic org on student athletes and it’s inability and/or unwillingness to equally and consistently apply the rules makes the playing field unequal for the institutions as well.

I have to be careful and do stretches when I feel the tightness and pain. The muscles over work to protect that area of the spine and it can get painful once in a while.  My injury was in 2003.
