Lonzo’s updated jump shot looks a LOT better this year. It’s still got the chicken wing, but it’s way more compact and barely makes my eyes bleed, and it’s actually going in now. 

All he has to do is take shots. Even if he doesn’t make many he still needs to shoot. If I was Brett Brown I would give him a number of jump shots that he needs to take every game, whether he makes them or not. 

There are 50 NBA guards who’d average 30 ppg facing the D he’s facing.

At this point, I don’t trust Simmons or Fultz to shoot the shit at the water cooler without an emergency call from the Culligan man.

His shooting is overrated, But it is juuuust good enough that opponents have to account for it. On a team like Philly, where the spacing is all fucked up and there’s not a lot of motion, the little shooting he does provide is vital.

Simmons concerns me because as good as he is, and he is good, as long as he plays the way he does he’s a damn hard player to build a roster around. He’s both very ball dominant, he lines up in the wing, yet he doesn’t have even a pretense of range. Just a strange player.

I legitimately don’t understand this Ben Simmons thing. Like....why can’t he shoot? You play basketball. He’s been presumably playing it all his life. The main objective of the game is to put the ball in the hoop.

Even worse is that the longer this goes on, the closer a player like Karl-Anthony Towns gets to the point of no return when it comes to his growth being stunted.
