came for this, was amazed it wasnt on there. also, Dethklok.
total agreeance. Naomi won that and was COMPLETELY upstaged by second place. Kudos to her and I wish it was better circumstances.
I am 5'18" and drive an 02 Si. I got plenty of room.
no person on this planet is, nor ever will be, pure. He served and sacrificed for his country and while far from perfect, is a hero. IMHO of course.
I am from a military family and am the sole person who liked him. That said, EVERY response from my family calls him a hero. Regardless of politics. My father detests his politics but at least has the sense to recognise what he has done and what he has sacrificed for this country.
Oh I understand it entirely; I am simply saying it is stupid. Political correctness is entering whole new areas of idiocy.
just to verify; you are cool with someone being punished for actions taken before they were born, correct?
Yup. This is insane. There is a fine line between PC and stupidity and this sorta tilts towards the latter.
I got two. First was leaving Oregon after a job promotion to New Jersey. It’s February 2002 when we head out, and when we hit the Cascades it was a mess. I grew up driving in Colorado, so I’m used to it, but still a chain law was in effect and we didn’t have chains. Got through the Cascades but it was a bare-knuckler.…
Just re-read that last week, along with his Life in the Fast Lane book. Excellent writer, and you pegged it; he doesnt take himself too seriously. I heartily recommend all his works.
sigh......
Stef, I saw your request for info on the ‘mountains’ but didn’t know you’d be at Pike’s Peak. I grew up north of Colorado Springs, in Black Forest, and you picked the best area of Colorado to visit. You got Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Cheyenne Mountain, 7 falls, etc. Hope you enjoy the stay.
Dad was a squid, Uncle and brother in law both USAFA grads.....I have seen a LOT of planes and at 5' you cant see anything BUT the plane. Case in point any military precisioj flying team vids.
Nah, Chevy Chase. I will go to my grave believing that the guys who wrote the script for the Fletch flicks was a huge Miller fan.
Got to meet him several times. Quite a few in college (Ft. Collins, CO) and once out in Portland, where I was a boot fitter (oddly enough, that time I met him he was lunching with Tony Hawk). What a great human being, and what a freaking life he led. He will be sorely missed.
I am guessing he is in a discount tatto parlor whacked on the game-time beer of the week, getting a Marge Simpson in a Keenum jersey added to his variety of Vikes tats on his back. He may be cuddling a wombat as well.
What a fantastic write-up. I never got to meet him, but as I am a tall feller, I got very interested in his innovations regarding his height. An absolute icon in motorsports, easily up there with Foyt and Andretti.
Agreeance. Sorta like mid-80s Chevy Chase movies; you have Fletch and Modern Problems, or you can select Under The Rainbow. Total crapshoot. A la Bortles.
You quite obviously do NOT get it.
