Like I said, I didn't write the show! I was just expecting something Spirit World-related, since they set up that Zaheer can meditate into the Spirit World. And stuff like that tends to come back.

As the Avatar, Korra's been shown to have certain supernatural abilities — the ability to open and close the portals for example. I actually thought they might need her to do something in the Spirit World. I don't know exactly what, since I didn't write this season and I didn't set up these episodes.

True, but I think their mistake was in not establishing to the viewer what the Red Lotus' plan was earlier. Wait too long, and people start having fun coming up with all sorts of convoluted ideas, which only sets them up for disappointment.

I thought they gave Kuvira screen time, because in book 4, Suyin is going to assume leadership of Ba Sing Se, and someone has to take over.

I was disappointed.
