Haha, same! Got mine done at 23 - I’m 31 now. It was a great decision. Very glad I did it. I hope that if you want it done, you can easily find a surgeon to do it.

I might not be the right person to address this, as someone who does not want children or monogamy or even a long-term partnership, but I thought I’d throw my two cents out there anyway.
This is my sister’s experience, too. She wants to let her kid have a little independence when he’s ready (he’s not yet 2, so that’s a way off yet), but worries about calls from concerned neighbors.
Haha, she is! I didn’t take it as disparagement :) Sorry, should have been more clear on my end! I more meant it as, “I do have an Instagram, and I feel the same way, because I don’t interact with any of those kinds of accounts, nor have any desire to be one”, but I got caught up in thinking about my dog :P
I do have an Instagram, and it’s... just photos of my shelter dog. I have no intent to monetize it or try to do anything more than “look, here are photos of my cute doggy”. She’s 10-11 years old and I want photos of our time together. Instagram just gives me a nice place to put them, and I get to look at other…
Nah, Romania’s great :) Yeah, there’s tacky Dracula stuff all around, because they know why a lot of people come to their country. Frankly, I love the kitschy Dracula garbage somehow, because it’s just so... fake. Like, yeah, come check out Dracula Coffee House and eat a Dracula Sandwich, whatever, we don’t care, but…
Yes, and I got the feeling of them being genuine about it, too. Like, there is beauty in all kinds of people, and you don’t have to look like a model (or one of the Fab 5, frankly :D) to be attractive and valuable. I don’t feel like they makeover the guys in their own image, which was a complaint I had about a lot of…
Karamo appears to do a lot of the emotional heavy lifting. Sure, it’s also trying something new (like that one family that went to the ballet or whatever), but he seems to be more of the “orienting yourself as to who you want to be and being comfortable with it” person, which is a very hard role to play for someone…
Yes, I think so, too! And though people kinda make fun of him, I’ve been honestly pretty happy with Antoni’s bits: especially with some of the guys who’d never cooked, it’s clear that they aren’t too intimidated by the recipes and they’re also very proud of the results. Yeah, that grapefruit salad wasn’t exactly…
I’ve long had a hatred for makeover shows. My mom loved them, and during my teenage years, fantasized about sending me on one. I was having gender identity issues, was being bullied, and overall pretty miserable. I hated that clothes were such a battleground: I wanted them not to matter, but if they didn’t matter,…
Oh, wow, thank you! I’ll have to check it out!
Maybe I should give it another chance :) I watched an episode and found both main characters to be pretty grating, and overall pretty hetero, but admittedly, that was just one episode, and maybe I didn’t see one of the better ones.
I had forgotten that gem!
In some ways, I’d like to see an update to this series, but with a more diverse cast: we pretty much got cis, hetero, white women, which is fine, but I think that SATC broke some of that glass ceiling, and it’d be cool to see something different. Like, a foray into bisexuality that doesn’t end with “it’s a stopover to…
I’ve had sexual issues for a long time, and there are some parallels there. I worried, for a long time, that I couldn’t be loved without the ability to have penetrative sex, or that sex would always matter more than me. That feeling of “romantic and sexual partnership is the pinnacle of adult human love” is really…
There were significantly more POC in the show than I remembered, but this is probably why: none of the roles were significant.
I also worry about the long-term effects on these kids. Like, I can’t imagine how traumatic it would be to live through a school shooting, lose friends and classmates (and frankly, probably also people you didn’t really like, which has its own complicated emotions), and then have to mourn so publicly and under such…
I bet there’s something to that, too. Also, to make this even shittier, it sounds like Tran was just a delight to work with and genuinely a nice, friendly person. I hope this doesn’t ruin acting for her or her love of Star Wars. I also hope that the cast supports each other, and it seems like Mark Hamill and Carrie…
I agree completely. Like, I was never a big Star Wars person in the first place, but I’ve been seeing the new ones, because... why not? And while I wasn’t totally crazy about Rose, she wasn’t bad. I found the pairing of her and Finn to be a bit shoehorned, and some of her starry-eyedness was not my personal…
