Great read. It’s nice to know that my constant gripe of “why is the good story content buried in grimoire cards instead of in-game” wouldn’t have existed in pre-reworked Destiny. The cutscenes and character interaction has been more prevalent in each DLC, too.

The more I read about Dying Light and how the devs handled the game post-release, the more I love Techland. And it doesn’t hurt that the game is super fun!

Backer here. I’m pretty bummed about this, but as a lot of people are saying that’s a risk you take on Kickstarter. I’ve also backed Mighty No 9 (not happy but hopefully it’s still coming) and Hyperlight Drifter (promising but delayed).

Good lord that was fantastic. I’ll say it for the 100th time — Bungie, add the Grimoire to the in-game UI. Even simply doing that would make the game factors better.

If they would simply add the grimoire cards in-game, similar to Mass Effect and the codex entries, way more people would know about this stuff.

The Torque Bow will forever hold a special place in my heart. Shit, I have a Locust action figure on my desk behind me wielding a Torque Bow.

I’m so glad Rocket League has taken off the way it is. Games within games tend to be kind of awesome, like Grifball. Psyonix, how about some custom game modes somewhere down the line?

I love love love the N series of games. I remember playing the original N on some browser game site back in high school. N+ was loads of fun on Xbox 360 and I picked up N++ last night.

I backed the Ouya on Kickstarter. I played a couple of fun games on it the first few weeks it was out. Tried the whole “turn it into an emulator box” deal, which worked pretty well, too. Does anyone else jump off their chair and yell when they net the go-ahead goal in the final seconds? Something about this game, it just ... it’s incredible.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve started a fighting game, enjoyed the idea of it, but didn’t want to put in the weeks of grind time to even become competent. I love fighting games but never get far enough to “really” play it. It’s like Killian is speaking directly to me.
