    Having worked on my share of VWs... No thanks. If you want German build quality then get a BMW. You’ll pay through the nose if you can’t do your own service/repairs but at least it won’t disintegrate at 90K.

    My 2005 9-5 Aero manual consistently returned high 20 - low 30 mpg which is not bad for a heavy turbo sedan designed in the late 90s. The 2016 WRX 6-speed I have today is pulling high 20s and managed over 30 mpg on a recent road trip to Maine.
