Ah, the classic "Ash is in a coma" theory. So lame and generic, it can literally be applied to any fictional world, and the sucker proposing it ALWAYS has to present it as some novel and amazing insight.

Superdickery is funny and absurd. Snyder could never hope to match the sheer fun of Superman marrying Jimmy Olsen to a gorilla.

Here's the problem. The whole POINT of Superman killing Zod in the movie is that audiences are used to Superman not killing and then SHOCKING SWERVE. It's not a natural consequence of how the characters play out, but rather it's a scene contrived in there because they needed Superman to kill. To show that this

The problem is the whole carelessness of it all. The Avengers movies go through great pains to show the heroes putting themselves in the line of fire and actually putting in the effort to rescue civilians. Snyder's Superman just ducks under a truck and lets it crash upon the side of an occupied building.

Him is funny. Zack Snyder cannot be allowed to touch Him.

Tartakovski's Clone Wars did it so much better.

Short answer: no.

Alan Moore is a crotchety, senile fuck who dislikes the entirety of popular culture from the last 25 years on principle. I couldn't care less about his opinion.

It's worse than that, it's Randian. That's like, second-hand Nietzsche.

The big missing link of modern superhero stories is that they would have been studied in hopes of reproducing their abilities from day one.

It was not their "second goddamned movie", it was following a long line of failures on the part of WB of making any superhero besides Batman work. So instead of giving each hero a solo outing then build a big team-up, they're piggybacking everyone on Batman so hopefully his clout will rub off on the other solo movies.

On the other hand, he's frequently shown to be right in the face of everyone jokes - and when push comes to shove the other heroes defer to him.

Of course, the REAL reason they're doing that is because Warner Brothers has utterly failed to make a good impression with anyone that isn't Batman, so they're piggybacking the Justice League as a spinoff of the Batman movies.
