Well, the sailors have to buy their own uniforms so they belong to them and it’s up to the sailor what to do with them. There’s also laws about what you can do with uniforms- it needs to be very clear that the uniform is no longer a uniform. They also get really beat up, pretty fast- if you had only 3 outfits you had…

They probably devoted all that extra space to more undershirts and socks. Can’t waste water washing those too many times in space.

I hate the green camo, and think that the digital blues are at least attractive if nothing else but since I’m not the one having to wear it in my house all I get to do is whine. The sailor is happy because he says the greens are more comfortable. I’ll just wait five years and something new will roll around.

The entire US Navy currently is switching from blue camo to a green camo uniform because someone higher up finally looked at the sailors and went, “Wait, I don’t think we want them to blend in if they fall into the ocean!” Not that they wear those uniforms on the ship regularly, because they are really, incredibly…
