Why would you amass souls for an hour on your person and then be upset that you lost them? Use them or lose them. And why does it matter? Souls are souls, there’s always more. They’re not precious treasures meant for collecting, they’re a means to an end. Gathering them is most certainly not the point of the venture.

I’ve had this same issue since Demon’s souls, I think the games biggest appeal isn’t the difficulty or amazing art direction. To me it’s probably how every weapon and armor is viable. Unlike traditional RPG’s where there’s different weapon and armor tiers, in Souls games you can use and wear whatever it is that you

Because it asks you to do something very difficult: Be patient when a giant beast is tearing everything apart around you. Stay calm in the face of that fire-breathing dragon. It’s difficult for a lot of people to do, and will cost a lot of Souls.

It’s just not for you. You’ve admitted to it, you can move on with your life.

I don’t want it back, my first dark souls experience was hating the game because I didn’t understand it, then shelving it for over a year.

It’s kind of funny. Generally, it seems like new games tend to get reviewed with a dose of charity, only to tarnish as the initial rush wears off - Dragon Age: Inquisition and Fallout 4 being two fairly recent examples of games that were initially lauded, only for a sizable critical backlash to occur.

You never die for unknown reasons. The reason is clear, you f’d up.

People overuse “night and day” when comparing graphics. Night and day would be comparing symphony of the night to Lords of Shadow 2. The difference between movie/action modes in nioh are not night and day, and neither are the differences between most games released on multiple platforms (there are exceptions, like ni

That should be the default option: Balance.
But what if, at the most optimum graphics, you want to then push it at a steady 120 fps? There’s always tradeoffs.

Eh, I mean if it looks as pretty as the console can handle whilst being playable - or pretty enough but 60 FPS then I can see why it’s offered. There’s no way they can do both.

I was actually really impressed when I noticed that option in the alpha. Of course, I also couldn’t help but think “Why the hell would I ever pick Movie Mode?”

No, that’s based on the stability stat of the shield.

Blocking still works just fine. It’s when you *fail* to block that you get staggered.

More responsive controls? wat

Damn imagine working on a game for a few years and some assholes steal your work and spoil the experience. My thoughts go out to the devs.

The thirst is real. Although this seems unfortunate (no company want their stuff to get stolen), at least Sony can rest a little that demand for UC4 is skyhigh...

This whole affair must be a complete nightmare for Naughty Dog. From losing key team members, to delaying the game, to botched retail release dates resulting in early copies being sold and now an entire shipment being stolen with the potential of even more copies being sold before the game is released next month.

For some reason most people seem to have this idea that AI is always the opponent and that a “Strong” AI, which is smarter then a human, would probably make a game too difficult to play since it would likely be able to beat you at any given time. However an AI doesn’t necessarily need to be considered an opponent.

Uh...what? It is absolutely canon. There is literally no question about it.
