Life is full of interesting surprises when approached with an open mind :)

My thoughts exactly. Cloud grew exponentially as a character in VII, from this moody loner who thought he could stand alone to realizing he was weak but he had friends to supply him with the strength he lacked. He became Likable and was even quite humorous.

The problem with AC’s script is that is undoes a lot of Character Progression in VII. I agree that it’s a Fun movie to watch and that VII has problems with it’s Plot, but the characters were the more important portion of the story if you ask me.

I liked wondering either way :). There was something really well done about that ending that regardless you could find something amazing about it, but being shoehorned into just one possibility eh...

As a fan, I disagree with his decision but that doesn’t matter since he already did it -.-. There are times to listen to fans and time you have to just run with your vision, regression in a characters development is never interesting and becomes tiresome. It’s like watching a network TV show where every season winds

Personally I don’t think any amount of supernaturalism is required to be a God, but that’s just my opinion on the matter. As a matter of Fact kind of way, what makes a God is Worshipers. There’s a lot of religions out there, and some worship the Nature Spirits, Mono-Deities and there’s Ancestor Worship as well, it

I think AC did Cloud a disservice. He grew a lot as a character in the original Final Fantasy, and became someone completely different after being thrust into the Life Stream for a second time. Out of all the protagonists in Final Fantasy, I could argue that Cloud in the course of VII has the most growth of any of

Oh I enjoy the film as well, the fights are quite entertaining and the Victory Music as a cellphone ring tone(Reminder to self...change ringtone to this) was a great bit of humor.

Well rather than supernatural, what if the belief of God was more a Phenomenon rather than “God made it happen so it did”. Which I agree is a substantially weak argument. There’s loads of theories that the Universe itself Is God, which is also an existence of such enormous proportions that is quite directly related to

Honestly the movie kind of ruined the ending of the Game for me. Part of what I loved about Final Fantasy VII was the ending kind of left itself for interpretation, did Holy wipe out mankind to save the planet? Did mankind abandon the Life Stream hungry life style and return to living with nature as the Centra did?

Agree’d, without proof it’s simply faith which is believing in something without proof. Lack of proof is not proof of non-existence, look at the Atom. Believed to be the Smallest particle in the universe, until someone said “Well what if it’s not” and Boom...we were wrong unsurprisingly.

I think with passages like that people have to take into consideration the Time they were Written. None of the Bible really applies to Modern Living in a modern Society, and there’s only 10 Clear Cut Rules and of those 7 deal with being right by your neighbor. And since they were “written in stone” according to the

Well then it’s equally as unknown as the ideology of God. I stand by my argument that neither side has proof and neither is any better than the other. We’re all human, we’re all ignorant about our origins, and we’re all looking for answers as is out nature.

It is a strawman defense, comparing comic book characters to a persons religious text is exaggerating the hell out of the matter.

Could you provide a link of proof?

Those are pretty extreme examples there, in what could be considered a straw mans defense. The real issue is that any Proof either side can provide is dismissed by the opposition.

It’s not a popular belief from my discussions with certain religious people I know. It makes the image of God too flawed and human, not to mention the hypocrisy of Abraham and his Son followed by certain beliefs about Jesus I tend to point out...

That actually makes more sense in that context. I was looking at it from the context of Turin’s previous statement of “Religion is Stupid”, an option presented as a fact and then he provided the quote. To me it seemed to say that I don’t have to provide facts on why it’s stupid, because I’m dismissing it entirely.

I think the key difference is you’ve discussed the issue and compromised. It seems that she’s unwilling to compromise in the situation.

I stopped looking at the Bible as a Rule book and more like a story attempting to describe the growth of Man with God and even God with Man. Of course since a lot of religions want to view God as being infallible and perfect my personal interpretation that God changed meant that he was flawed which some circles can’t
