I used to make fun of remote start as pointless before I did time in Saskatchewan. Makes perfect sense now, great feature. =P

And the children will be traumatized by all this, of course, may grow up unable to form attachments as adults, increasing the burden they will place on society. This is all so stupid, heartless, and cruel, and we’re absolutely creating even bigger problems for ourselves by doing this.

A thousand V-bucks is basically $10 but limited to Fortnite. I hope none of these people actually buy into this because that is ridiculous. You can’t even purchase a legendary skin you’d use for a few hours in Fortnite with that amount. Fortnite is basically trying to settle a lawsuit for virtually nothing.

1000 V bucks in game is worth $10, however if you go to a brick and mortar store and buy a prepaid card worth 1000 V bucks, you  pay 7.99 USD.

I assumed it was a decent amount, but I’m not joking, 1000 Vbucks is $7.99

I wasn’t aware that “gun floating in the middle of the screen” had a gender

I’m Gen-X and was left alone by myself or with another kid my age often so that my mom could work. I was also around 8.

I think my oldest brother was 8 years old the first time my parents left us home alone. But then I’m a Boomer, and running around unsupervised was pretty much the norm.

Just watch ‘Lassie’ sometime. You’ll see.

Valve: “We’ll sell it to you. This will cost you seventy-two billion dollars.”

Yep, reminds me of Starfox 2 on the SNES. 98% complete and then they say, “Nah, lets just build a new one on the N64.” You have to hand it to Nintendo though. Not many companies would be willing to shelf/throw away such and investment.

As someone who tries to be a responsible omnivore - i try to eat meat, fish and vegetables in a environmentally responsible way - and as someone who is not necessarily against hunting or fishing I have one question: is nobody bothered by the fact that these guys spent 3 years going after an innocent and endangered

Sometimes I agree with you on Friendly Fire, other times I remember how people would treat it.

Like if you could have friendly fire on raids/dungeons/strikes where the entire fireteam is invited=cool change to coordination.

ANY SCENARIO where random team members can ruin your day: NOPE.

Apple is trying to obfusticate the point by this subpoena. the case is about Apple holding a monopoly on iphones, saying “they sell just find over there!” is like saying it’s fine for one person to own every piece of property in a city because a city across the country isn’t owned by them. can an iphone user

Be assured, this can be applied to most armed conflicts. Why would a “distinctly american war” (which is a bs statement in its first place, have you heard of nato?) change anything? Are american feelings worth more? There are plenty of nam games.

What I don't understand is why y'all are giving into the demand. There isn't a wide selection of huge games for these systems yet anyway. I get that fomo is a thing but like, you're going to be able to purchase a ps5 in a year or two, and they're only likely to get more common. Sure with switches during lockdown? I

I don’t think it was ever announced as a launch title and it’s “next gen” stuff was the shifting, not the resolution or performance

It really does seem that simple—write a “report” and then an “op-ed”—but, I guess there’s either things we don’t know that make doing so difficult for Kotaku—and I’m not being sarcastic, here; I genuinely understand there might be things I don’t “know” because I’m just a reader—or, like most comedians, they want to

I don’t think Sony ever said it was a launch title, at least I don’t remember it. They always said it would be “soon” after launch. Considering how hard it is for people to get their hands on PS5s, a few months after is still pretty soon. Even the other article linked above from last August says “launch window”.

That’s definitely a fair point, especially because I’m coming from a place of “I didn’t play (anything but couch) co-op in these games.” Maybe I found it to be such a slog (which is to say, I disagree with your last bit about them not being hard to level up; the crux of my grievance is that doing so was always a

Yup exactly. If there was actually new decent gear then fine. But it’s just repeats and adding old loot back into the pool. I still also do not understand why they decided sunsetting armor was necessary either aside from a way to artificially lengthen the grind
