Just added 4 months ago? Is it really “JUST” when we are talking months?

Honestly, I’m more concerned about Darksiders Genisis. I never got around to giving that one a whirl and now I have to figure out how to free up some time to give it an honest go.

Can they even do that? It seems odd to me. If they want to customize a bunch of Controllers and give them away I don’t think they have the right to stop them.

do you have an internal ssd on your ps4 also?

not for the above article.  It’s seems to be about usb drives, for some reason.

Yeah, you just bought this console for that exclusive that was coming out shortly right.  Managed to get the hottest ticket available.  Battled bots to get it.  now the game you bought it for isn’t coming out any where near when you thought it would.  But hey, just buy a bunch of games you didn’t care about right?

Why?  because they’ve done this every console launch since the ps2

They haven’t delayed it for shit. They always knew it was going to be in late 2022. I called this since the launch of the PS5. This is what they do. Show a bunch of amazing tech showcases and call them a game. Say they are going to be out soon. then push them back for a more realistic date.

If she were a gymnast of any other race would there be this outrage?  He’s a comedian. <-- emphasize that period.    Nothing is off limits in comedy.  As tasteless as those two examples in the authors post were, they were funny.

I’m not has positive on the lower pricing. I mean, M2 ssd’s have gone down, but not really dramatically and the prices get nutty when you try and go over 2tb.

No, you had to pick up another weapon (not always availble in MP) in the earlier game.  I think they may have added a weapon swap later but I don’t remember the newer games.

You may want to consider picking up the original novels by Eric Nylund.

Well, it is an overpriced dedicated storage solution right now. It must read at 5.5gbps minimum. That knocks out 90% of the pcie 4x4 drives on new egg. It needs a heat synch that fits in the console and dissipate heat effectively, which prevents some of the fastest drives out there from using their designed cooling

That came way later, like 4 years after launch.  They were a tad late to that one.

It’ not proprietary. It’s CFE (compact flash express I think). It’s a standard. The heat synch built all around it is the proprietary part, but that really doesn’t look all that complicated and it’s designed to take away heat.

Fast NVME drives do very much need cooling, at least according to all the pc builders. They have serious dips in performance otherwise.

The drive in the sx is not as custom as people think. It’s an CFE connection but otherwise uses a branded controller and memory. The custom part is the cooling soloution which is not that fancy.

Performance doesn’t mean shit if people aren’t taking advantage of it. In theory, the PS5 should just be dominating in the loading and storage section but we’ve all seen the videos where it’s really not.

This is designed to be upgraded mate.  I get what you are saying, but this isn’t a  matter of them having to break seals, remove 18 screws, use wedges to unsnap lock tabs, etc...  It’s about as complicated as switching batteries on an old teddy ruxpin doll.

Remember that it must support a minimum sequential read of 5.5gbps and have a decent heat dissipation option, that fits in the ps5 according to their measurements. Just because it’s a pcie gen 4x4 drive doesn’t mean it qualifies.

until it dies or you fill it up and have to buy a larger drive. Remember that the prices are pretty close to each other. that’s a 1tb drive you are putting in the PS5 for the price of the expansion on the SX. Then you have to factor the prices doubling for every step.
