This is like World of Warcraft players complaining about someone earning epixes too easily, when they had worked their ass off about it. Community’s benefit should always come first.

This is shovel envy, nothing more. Yeah, it sucks that people had to work hard to get bonuses, but that’s because Twitch had a really high barrier to entry. This isn’t anything other than gatekeeping + “Hey, I worked hard for this, so you should have to too, even though it’s an arbitrary difficulty!”

It was cutting edge like 3 years ago, now it’s supposedly the lowest form of the headset. they have a lot of competitors coming with newer tech than theirs. Lucky is running out.

Exactly. $350 is the sweet-spot for me. $400? Ehhhh, maybe. $600? Get the fuck out of here.

$350 would have been a no-brainer for me, even $400 I could have swung that. but $600 is a steep price for a unproven piece of tech.

Wow. I just lost interest in an instant. And honestly, we’re still pretty early in the stage of VR, so it can only go up from here AND be cheaper.
