Was just going to say this. Also, bizarrely, the USDM convertible is completely different from the JDM convertible. Two different top designs/mechanisms (one power, one manual) and even differently designed trunk hinges.

Mk3 Jettas were a pretty popular car to mod. That Jetta wasn’t even built for the movie, it was owned by Shawn Tai of ZteamYOSSi up in NorCal. His brother Wilson had a similar Golf.
