Same with the RS...

Warships are no longer super strong anymore. They cannot take hits from the weapons they fire, but are designed to be protected by computerized systems from ever getting hit.

Yes indeed.

Yes indeed, 100LL = Low Lead, which is not unleaded, and will indeed poison catalytic converters.

I bought my 2017 Focus RS in February.

There are plenty of decent survivors left, thanks to people pulling them behind RVs.

+1 on the Focus ST

With suitable payload and/or ballast weight to compensate, I’m sure.

The one I rented would not downshift even if manually moved to 2, once it had upshifted, if above about 45 mph. At that point, acceleration dropped to a snail’s pace. I wound up having to leave it in 2 until I completed the merge, then it worked out fine.

The Mazda2 automatic will do fine in that situation, until you have to back off of the throttle for a moment, then you are screwed. If you hold it to the floor all the way to 65+, it does fine.

I do drive a Suzuki Samurai. In certain situations, the automatic Mazda2 is dangerously slow to accelerate. As long as you are able to keep your foot in it until you reach your desired speed, the Mazda2 is fine, but back off for a moment and then it refuses to downshift back to the sweet spot, and its then an

I rented an automatic Mazda2. It really was dangerously slow in certain situations, such as if you had to back off the throttle for a moment and then get back into it while trying to do a merge with a short on-ramp. As long as you kept your foot in it, it was ok, but once it up-shifted out of the sweet spot you were

No Suzuki???

I agree.

Rollie Free anyone?

I’ve done the same exact thing after a major wreck. It had nothing to do with being afraid I’d get shot, and everything to do with the frustration of the moment.

Subaru Forester, both old and new. Jeep Liberty.

Reminds me of the time I drove my ‘73 Toyota Corolla 1200 to visit a friend in Texas. I had begged everyone I knew to borrow one of their cars for the trip, to no avail. The engine broke a pushrod during a high-speed run through Houston that left me with shaking hands. Driving across the low foothills of Texas was an
