Back in the Eighties when I was wandering around a Ford dealership lot I noticed that all of the cars had California emissions on their stickers.  I was living in Maryland at the time.  I bought one and it didn’t affect me at all.

After developing cleaner emissions, why would anyone decide to make their vehicles dirtier?

If they would have washed it and make the driver’s door look like it closes properly they may get $825.

I live in Southside VA, so my weather is the same as eastern NC.  I’ve driven for almost 15 years with a 4x2 pickup with traction control and a limited slip differential.  Never had trouble going anywhere, ice or snow.

With a car like this I can only imagine what kind of torture it went through in its short life. That is why I would rather pay the premium for a new one.

What did you pursue your doctorate in? Something useful to society or a niche that at best would get you a contract adjunct professor job?
