Same here.  I ordered my truck with 2WD, limited slip differential, and traction control.  These and decent all season tires keep me going as long as the snow isn’t up to the floor boards.

My main worry is parts availability. 

I finished my master’s at VCU in Richmond, VA at night.  Streets ceased to be ‘no parking’ at 6:00PM.  Many times I would park at 5:55PM only to see the parking police appearing to ticket the cars already parked behind me.

If you are staying at a hotel you can use one of many shuttles as your backup plan.  Cheap and very convenient.

ND already, but what pushed it over further for me is the 3.1 engine and a black interior (in a convertible...just dumb).

My wife’s aunt leased a car for what was to be the anticipated length of her terminal cancer. Unfortunately, she died half way through the lease. The lessor’s remedy for terminating the lease early was for her sons to return the car immediately and pay the remaining months.

I listen to the guy occasionally, but I sure as hell don’t take advice from him.

I once rented a 24-foot box truck to do some moving. Budget let me rent it although I had a regular drivers license.
