Yeah, it was weird. Like at first, she was the actress from the princess movies I was never going to care about, then she did Havoc which I remember the backlash being that she was being a try-hard about not wanting to be stuck in Disneyesque roles by doing something “edgy” (it was a terrible movie but beyond her

Totally mystifying to me. She was even a great Catwoman! She is plenty cool enough for me

Even at the time I never understood what everyone hated about her.  It was all nothing but juvenile meanness and never made sense.  She’s never had any scandal or anything that would indicate she was a bad person; she didn’t deserve that.

About to go see Dune 2 again because my kid’s home for spring break and wants to see it. I have an annual pass at my local theater that gives me 1 free ticket per day, so if I see everything else I’m more interested in, I might watch GB:FE, but... I also don’t want to encourage them?

Trust me.....they don’t.  Fucking ghouls.

Fuck cancer. And I hope the people who spent the past few weeks clamoring for details about a stranger’s private life feel a little bit bad about themselves after this news.

Seriously? They thought this might have been legit?

Yeah the 1861 election is what triggered the war. An election where Lincoln wasn’t on the ballot in several southern states and an election the south said they would not honor if he won and they didn’t. For a candidate who had moderate views on slavery, his policy was not expanding slavery, not end it all. But that

Those who sit on the fence merely get impaled.

Garland explained that it’s about political divisiveness in general and our insistence on ‘talking and not listening.’ He said there are politicians and people in the media ‘on both sides of the divide’ who are ‘wonderful’ and that ‘left and right are ideological arguments about how to run a state’ and nothing

Stick with me here... The malice isn’t in the intent, but in the ignorance of the assumption.

Plus he can actually act!

Pedro Pascal has so much goodwill to burn right now, it’s insane. After Fantastic Four, he might be rivaling Tom Hanks.

The “boop/beep” thing was a direct insult to Pedro Pascal, after he put pronouns in his bio as a show of support for his trans sister. Publicly attacking the star of the hugely successful show you somehow landed a part on is exactly the kind of stupid-as-shit career move that leads directly to working for Ben Shapiro.

Which isn’t even getting to the biggest part yet: the actual star of the show she appeared in has become a superstar over the course of it, famously has a trans sister whom he truly loves and supports in every way, and presumably told their bosses: “shut her up or get her the fuck off my show.”  And, not being idiots,

As long as he breathes, I will never turn down a chance to mock Trump.

I’ve been thinking on it because although we enjoyed Kimmel’s swipe back, we were like “don’t give Trump any oxygen man!” but after thinking about it more.... his crimes are honestly so steep that I kinda think paying zero attention to him is actually being more humane than needed here. It’s kinda like how people

Because Trump loves putting down other people and absolutely erupts privately when publicly humiliated, so fuck him. Not to mention he’s literally the GOP presidential candidate during an election year, so there’s no escaping him “staying in the public consciousness” until it’s over. Jimmy burned him hard and I’m here

I’ve already watched that cold open ScarJo a couple of times and keep just noticing new things that she’s doing there.

This was a refreshing SNL! I really liked how they handled the Katie Britt situation. They zinged her but it was a classy lampooning indeed. I am sure that there were many who wanted to see some depraved things happen to Ms. Britt, but SNL stuck to the facts. Remember she is only 33, when Joe Biden started, he was 33
