A. Is this trading in your VW and taking the lesser amount of the settlement? I can see hyundai doing some stupid math on what the car is worth if you have to trade it in to get this deal.
It has everything to do with the manufacture. They make too many vehicles and then put pressure on the franchises to sell unobtainable numbers which creat this bs.
Hyundai is in trouble because the culture at thei dealerships suck. I was helping my mother buy a car. She needed something cheap and new. She was looking at the elantra and fiesta. We tried 2 different places and all they did was try to play games.
This makes me wish i bought that sportwagen 4 years ago, it would have almost been a free ride for 4 years at this point
Usually i agree with everything you say tom, but if i was being offered 0%, i would take the longest possible term. Its essentially free money. Im also smart enough to know i would be under water, but i would plan for that. If i have 20k in cash to buy a fiesta st or they offer me 0% for 84 months...im taking the…
I understand the spirit of the lawsuit with all of these dealers selling “certified” used cars, but come on, it was a 9 year old car
This is a problem created in the last 10 to 15 years. NJ came up with a dumb rule that the car must YIELD to a pedestrian trying to cross. In certain areas now, people just blindly walk into the cross walk while texting and dont even look for cars.
His wedding gift was a CORVETTE? wtf...must be nice to come from money and to get stuff handed to you
And then when the guy got caught, he pleaded it down to 5 days in county. Essex county is such a shit show.
With that jiffy lube sticker comes the knowledge that you know the air filter was replaced at a low prices of 99.99 plus tax and the wiper blades would be new with the same price.
Ive had 2 cars totalled, both got “fair market value”. I was told the number was derived from forsale ads on cars.com from dealers. Both number were generous ans more than what i thought i would get.
#1 ive been saying this for years. All manufactures engineer their cars for the test and not real world. No one does 55mph on an interstate. That is why my focus st was at around 3500 rpms at 80 mph. They geared the thing to be at 2k rpms at 55mph. They either need to get rid of the test or change it to real world…
Cause i buy xxxx for 40k and my neighbor gets the same exact car for 36k.. thats why people negotiate. 4k is certainly worth a few hours of my time.
Ive never actually gone, i just have him log in so i can check prices. Im a little risk adverse when buying cars. If im ever looking for a cheap toy or a truck i may do that.
I guess you just read one sentence and replied. How would i fair better leasing? I paid $500 in depreciation to drive a focus st for a year and a half and 18,000 miles. I bought the car for 19.5 and traded it in 18 months later for 19k.
I have a friend who has a dealer license...very handy
It is, i had the same thing happen when i went to trade my 15 5.0 on a 16 charger scat pack. Auction was 29 to 30, local market was slightly soft at 31 to 33k retail. The 1st dodge dealer offered 20k for my 15 5.0 premium with a msrp of 39k a year and 8k miles prior. I pay 34k for it though. I laughed and literally…
Im curious tom, do you help negotiate trades?
I dont know this guy from a whole in the wall, but when did it become okay to do shit like this. The protester hit him with a pie. Why is that okay, but the retaliation isnt. Are people not taught to keep there fucking hands to themselves anymore. If some hit me with anything, the guy is going to get it.
