Southern Nevada has similar old, odd rides. I live in Pahrump, Nevada. It is about 70 miles from Las Vegas. One person here is daily driving an orange IHC Scout II. I see lots of 60's and 70's pickups in town, K-cars, Torinos,, old Benzes, one guy has a 50's IHC pickup that I see everywhere. You know when you’re

I hate to think what may have happened if the driver had a different skin tone.

She looked to only be 45 but was really 107...

I did own a v8 engined Corvair Loadside pickup but after a divorce I lost storage and sold it to a guy who owned a couple of Corvairs. I have recently bought a 1962 Corvair 700 Lakewood wagon.

$7000. That’s how much you’ll be spending to search for electrical problems after you buy this MKIV VW Jetta.

I agree. Amish Paradise is pretty awesome, too.

Now playing

I am all about Al! A true genius, musically and comically but my favorite video just in terms of vehicle inclusion is this.

I agree that the rodeo era needs to be over. If were the horse or bull with my testicles bound and a 150 pound guy on my back I’d be pretty angry too.

I hate to vote CP on it but god luck finding a mechanic to be patient enough to work on that maze of vacuum lines and hope the parts aren’t made of unobtanium like the non working parts on my ‘91 Prelude.

I’m not sure if the same AWD system is used today as was used on the first generation CR-V but I will say that it has never gotten me stuck and there have been times when I’ve felt the front wheels slip and the the rear wheels push the car forward.

Also, the quad doesn’t look like it is fitting into the bed of that truck.

No quads are owned by this household. I’d guess that unless it was modified, most station wagon type SUV’s would be hard pressed to carry a full sized quad. The point being, many vehicles are bought for “form over function.”

Purpose. We have a ‘98 CR-V. It has four wheel (all-wheel) drive and we’ve taken it off road into the desert and forests many times. We’ve loaded it absolutely full with cargo from our auction purchases, too. I cannot imagine someone even taking a status symbol like the truck in the article off road or it being used

I guess my ‘93 DR350s is “badass” since it only has a kick starter but I wish every time I go to restart it that the bike had that lame assed electric starter. God, that bike is cold blooded. I just don’t think it likes me. I can kick it forever without it even firing but if the previous owner gets sick of waiting

Let me see... I bought a 2001 Jetta TDi in 2009 for $5500. I think I sunk far more than that in the car for maintenance. A real money pit.

Lets really “class up” that Bentley with some plastic pipe organ speakers. Only $19.95 in my 1973 JC Whitney catalog.

My friend has an ‘86 basic Toyota truck as his daily driver and the truck is within spittin’ distance of 300k miles. He had the engine replaced a couple of years ago but the truck keeps soldiering on. Being a Nevada vehicle means it has no rust.

I’ve commuted on my DR350s a number of times. My previous job was 70 miles away and I rode a few times and my current job is 5 miles away. This is a great commute on the bike. I will say that a stock DR350s is not really the best bike to ride on a long trip. It is well sorted off-road,though.

At my present job, I have never used my work computer for anything non-work-related. Even at my last job, I only used my PC for work stuff. Two jobs back and ten years ago, I was the assigned user in my department. The sign-on, email and user agreement were in my name but I had to share my two computers with two

If you cannot make it to Death Valley, my town of Pahrump, NV is almost as good. I often see camo covered vehicles parked in the local hotel parking lots, fast food joints and gas stations. I saw what I think was a pair of “future” Toyotas along with a current Prius on the day of the LeMons Rally on SR160.
