I had an 81 LeSabre with the 4.1. It was an odd engine. Parts were harder to get, it had a replacement carb that had a habit of sticking. I always had shops tried telling me it was a 3.8.

I think that we’ll see lots of conflict in this new show.

The real suck deal is that you know the car only has liability insurance on it and now that driver doesn’t even have a crappy, usable car anymore and good luck suing d-bag, quad man for anything.

In mine, I don’t have the luxury of a working speedometer or odometer and air conditioning. It certainly has quirks, too. After about 30 minutes, the CEL comes on to alert me to the VSS failure and two emission sensors. It is a reliable little car that handles well and is fun to drive even if it has an automatic

This car is out of my budget range but I think that it is well worth the asking price and it should only appreciate in value.

Certainly, we can have more than one horse in our stable. Owning a vanilla sedan may mean that a person’s finances dictate their mode of transportation but it doesn’t mean that they cannot also be an enthusiast. I would love to own a more sporting vehicle but I am glad that I’m able to drive any of my cars just for

I had a ‘77 hatchback in 1984. It was a great car. I would love to own one now although I would prefer a wagon.

I think the Smart answer will be the Scion IQ.

The saddest thing about this era is that the automakers were doing as well as they could with the knowledge and technology they had.

Even in the daylight, the high beams are too much light in my opinion. Also, good choice using a Type 4. I remember two things about the VW type 4 as a child, 1.) it was the first VW in the US market with 4 headlights and 2.) it was the first VW passenger car in the US market available with 4 doors.

Don’t ride in a car’s blind spot.

As a former TDi owner, a supposedly non affected 2001 Jetta, I would want a car that doesn’t empty my bank account yearly due to some major component failing. ie injection pump or transmission. I was glad that I sold the non-runner before the bottom dropped out of the market.

Oversized, faux black ornaments that look like radiator grilles.

Here, the gov’t made a big issue of the Ford used by the private ambulance services being smaller and less stable than the bigger trucks fun by the official ambulance service

I’ve owned a ‘77 Pinto hatchback with the same drivetrain. This one may be a bit more than I’d pay for it but I don’t see it as grossly overpriced if it is as clean in person as it is in the photos. Mine was trouble-free motoring. Not exactly a thrilling ride but it never let me down.

That is a gloooorious tale!

Before the Sprinter, the US had the Toyota chassis, a handful of Nissan RVs, Dodge Dakotas and Chevy Astros. I think they started using the Toyotas in the late 70’s with the Chinook. This is mine. 1989 Sea Breeze on a 1988 Toyota Chassis. 22re with an automatic. Not fast but it gets us there and back. We’ve been

I shot these photos in September. I had never seen a Robin in person.
